Safety Warnings

  • SAFETY WARNINGS

Please read all safety instructions before using a Vensafex cutting disc. Failure to follow these warnings may result in serious injury or death.

    General Safety

    • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses or a face shield, hearing protection, protective gloves, and suitable workwear.

    • Use the cutting disc only with a compatible power tool and protective guard. Follow all safety instructions provided by your power tool manufacturer.

    • Keep children and bystanders away from the work area.

    • Never use a cutting disc if it is damaged, cracked, warped, out of round, excessively worn, or vibrating.

    • Allow the cutting disc to cool completely before touching it. Cutting discs can become extremely hot during use.

    Before Use

    • Inspect the cutting disc, clamping set, spindle, flanges, and power tool before each use. Keep all components clean and in good condition.

    • Confirm that the disc diameter, bore size, backing flange, and any reduction ring are compatible with your power tool. Never enlarge the bore of a cutting disc.

    • Make sure the maximum RPM rating printed on the cutting disc is equal to or higher than the maximum RPM of your power tool.

    • Install the cutting disc securely and ensure it can rotate freely before use.

    • After installation, perform a no-load test run for at least 30 seconds in a safe area. Stop immediately if you notice unusual vibration, wobbling, noise, or damage.

    • Ensure that the direction arrow on the cutting disc, where applicable, matches the direction of rotation of the power tool.

    During Use

    • Use the cutting disc only for materials and applications for which it is designed.

    • Maintain a firm grip on the power tool and work at a right angle with a straight cutting line.

    • Do not press, twist, tilt, force, or side-load the cutting disc during cutting.

    • Use moderate, steady pressure appropriate for the material being cut. Avoid aggressive initial contact, stabbing, or forcing the disc into the material.

    • Do not make curved cuts unless the disc is specifically designed for that purpose. Tilting or bending the disc may cause cracks, segment damage, kickback, or breakage.

    • Do not overload the cutting disc. If cutting performance decreases, stop and allow the disc to cool before continuing.

    • Use appropriate dust extraction when cutting materials that create dust.

    • Sparks may occur when cutting certain materials. Keep flammable materials away from the work area.

    Dry and Wet Cutting

    • Use the cutting disc for dry cutting only unless both the cutting disc and your power tool are clearly rated and approved for wet cutting.

    • Never use water or other cooling methods with a power tool that is not specifically designed for wet cutting.

    • When wet cutting is permitted by both the disc and tool manufacturer, ensure that the water supply is continuous and follow all instructions supplied with the power tool.

    After Use and Transport

    • Disconnect the power tool from its power source before changing, adjusting, cleaning, or removing the cutting disc.

    • Remove the cutting disc before transporting the power tool whenever possible to help prevent accidental damage.

    • Store cutting discs in a dry, secure location away from moisture, excessive heat, impact, and direct sunlight.
